Don't be fooled by lookalikes! Our new and improved Clubhouse Coop, for 4 full-size or 6 bantam chickens, is a step above the rest. Every door has two latches for added protection against predators, where the "lookalikes" out there only have one. Other coops may have just one slide-open ventilation slot, where ours have two for cross-ventilation, and ours are backed by 1/2" galvanized hardware cloth. Our droppings tray is 4" deep, compared to just 1" deep on other models you'll find, and ours feature double predator-proof latches, too, so those sneaky raccoons can't simply remove the tray and get a hold of your chickens' feet. We've made additional improvements that you won't see, also, to increase the Clubhouse's durability and predator protection. See a customer's blog post about their experience with this coop

Designed for up to 4 chickens With plenty of roosting and nesting space, you can happily house up to four standard-size chickens, or five to six bantams, depending on their size. This chicken coop, like every one we sell at My Pet Chicken, is NOT intended for full-time confinement. The run is convenient when you can't let your flock roam freely, but make sure your flock has several hours per day free-ranging or in a much larger run.

Versatile! Use as starter coop, hospital, broody house, or for a bantam breeding trio We love this model for first-timers because it offers inexpensive entree into the hobby. If you're like most of our customers, you'll double or triple your flock within a few years, and you'll end up having to build or buy a larger coop--but you'll love having this one on hand. Whether you use it to isolate an injured or sick bird, to give a broody hen the space to hatch her own babies, to transition new juvenile chicks to life "outdoors" while protecting them from your established flock, or even to isolate a bantam breeding trio or quartet for a short while, you'll always be glad to have it around!

Designed for happy owners... Features include: easy nesting box access, conveniently-placed doors, a 4" deep, pull-out droppings tray lined in metal (new feature to allow for more bedding!), and a convenient "chicken door" with a handle that slides open from the outside to get your flock from the house to the run. The tongue-and-groove roof on both the coop and run is attractive and will add to the lifespan of your coop. The roof of the Clubhouse opens as shown at right, and if you do not plan to use this feature, we recommend you screw the roof closed to prevent predators from gaining access.

...And happy chickens Features include: 50" of rounded-edge roosting poles, two nesting boxes (only one is required for every 4-5 hens!), a ramp for entering and exiting the run, a plexiglass window for maintaining biorhythms, and a covered run area for protection from the elements. Plus, a new feature: the run area under the house is 18" high! In other models you'll find online, it's only 12" or 14" high, which isn't large enough to accommodate many types of feeders and drinkers, should you choose to place yours there.

Extra ventilation This chicken coop is designed for those of you whose flocks need extra ventilation in summer. Dual ventilation slots on the front and back of the house slide open to 5" x 5" for a nice cross-breeze, and easily close to keep your chickens warmer in the cooler months. The openings are covered with 1/2" hardware cloth to keep out predators and pests.

Predator protection Two predator-proof latches on every door provide extra protection (new feature!). Note the dual latches on the slide-out droppings tray, too, to keep racoons from pulling it out and reaching in for your flock's feet. Half-inch galvanized hardware cloth lines the run and will keep out even determined predators. Just close the handy sliding door from the coop to the run at dusk to prevent burrowing predators from gaining access. Or, attach your own hardware cloth to the bottom so you don't have to worry about closing the door at night!

Protect Your Coop Purchase... ...With a yearly stain or seal. The natural wood material will break down over time. If you do not, you can realistically expect five to eight years' use out of this coop. If you keep it in good shape by sealing it annually, you'll have it for many years to come.

Save an additional $65 with freight terminal pick-up Just select "to nearest freight terminal" from the pull-down menu at the top of the page, and $65 will be deducted from your price. You'll need a station wagon, SUV or pick-up truck to retrieve your coop. If you're in a major metropolitan area, your local terminal will likely be in your city; if you're in a suburban area or smaller city, expect it to be within 20 miles; if you're remote, expect it to be 50+ miles away. To find out for sure, contact us with your zip code.

Assembly Notes All you need is a screwdriver! All the hardware is included, and most holes are pre-drilled. With two people, allow approximately a half hour; with just one, allow a full hour. Assembly instructions.

Once you construct the coop, we recommend you let it "air out" for a week before moving your chickens in. The non-toxic wood stain emits a strong odor that disappears over time.

Returns & Cancellations If you cancel your order before the coop leaves our warehouse, we'll refund you all but a $5 cancellation fee. If you'd like to cancel your order after it has left the warehouse, or return it once it has arrived to you, you'll be responsible for shipping costs both ways, in addition to a 15% restock fee that will be assessed and withheld from the refund.

If your coop arrives damaged, please report those damages to us within 48 hours, and send pictures so we can best determine next steps.
