When you see "final clearance" products, you often assume the product is damaged, irregular, or ill-suited to its intended task. Not so with this item! It's actually meant to be a planter, and wasn't a big seller among florists, so we were able to purchase them in large quantity as a close-out item.
We love this as an egg basket for so many reasons: it's flexible, reducing the chance of eggs breaking; the button and strap hold eggs "in" better than your typical basket, to reduce chance of breakage; the plastic liner is easy to clean... and they look cool! (Where else can you get an 18-egg egg basket for less than $2? And doubles as a planter?)
