Hatching Eggs - Cream Legbar

Cream Legbar Pullet
Great news about our 2015 fertile hatching eggs: we have a new breeder, and a superior shipping method! Our new breeder screens even beyond
NPIP requirements, and uses top-of-the-line feed to ensure the health of the breeding flocks. That plus, the new poly-foam shipping method
should result in much better hatch rates for your shipped eggs. The polyfoam is fitted, so each egg fits neatly in its own cushioned
compartment. As a bonus, the foam also offers some insulation against temperature extremes.
Cream Legbars are friendly, easily handled, good layers, and one of the most highly sought after breeds in this country. They lay a beautiful, light blue egg fix to six times a week in their first year. Cream Legbar chicks are auto-sexing, so you'll be able to tell males and females apart immediately, without the years of training it takes to vent sex day old chicks of other breeds. (Male Legbar chicks have a light spot on their heads; females do not, and the "striping" along their backs is more pronounced). Legbars are great foragers and do well avoiding predators in a free range environment, although they can easily adapt to small yards and runs, as well. And we love that their unusual little crests are tucked behind floppy combs, making them looking something like they're wearing berets accented with flowers--very cool! Availability of the Legbars is limited, so if you see availability dates listed below, don't wait to make your reservation!
