We're proud to present this beautiful chicken carrier for the birds that want to travel in retro style! This gorgeous, reproduction of chicken carriers from the 1940s and 50s is handmade, crafted by an artisan here in the US. At
approximately 23-1/2 x 17-1/2 x 11-1/4, it will comfortably carry three large fowl chickens, 4 pullets or 5 or more bantams, depending on the birds' size. It features one top loading door. These are carriers. The birds are meant to 'hunker down' so they don't fall during transit.
The wood used may vary based on availability, but the artisan assures us it is always selected to ensure strength and durability while being
surprisingly lightweight. For that reason, it is the perfect carrier to transport your prized birds to poultry shows. Although not as beautiful as the premium carriers, we still think it also might make a nice, folksy low table, if topped with glass!
