We are excited to
offer 14 week and up rare breed started pullets, raised on our own NPIP
certified and AI-monitored farm. Started pullets are for people who
don't have the time, equipment or ability to care for chicks, or who are
just too anxious for some fresh backyard eggs to start with chicks.
Another wonderful benefit is you don't have to worry about the
possibility of having roosters - they're guaranteed female! Our started
pullets are floor-raised and socialized with humans, vaccinated for
Marek's disease, and their beaks are intact -- we never trim.
Mix
and match to get the breeds you want! We have available limited
quantities of Black Copper Marans, Lavender Orpington, Blue 'true' Ameraucana, Barnevelder, Rhode Island Red, Blue Feathered Easter Eggers (bred specially to give only green eggs!)

Ship Dates: The weeks of October 22nd, 29th, Nov 5th
Expected onset of laying: will vary per breed. Typically around the ages of 24+ weeks.
Socializing with your flock:
We
do not recommend immediately turning your started pullets out with an
existing flock. You'll need to keep them separated from the other birds
so you can feed them starter/grower feed until they start laying.

Shipped
via USPS Express Mail. Please choose "Ground" shipping when checking
out, but be assured they will ship Express Mail -- the fastest way under
the sun to get them to you! Birds are guaranteed to arrive alive and
well 48 hours after delivery. Please call immediately if one of your
juvenile birds acts listless upon arrival -- We can offer advice to
help!

Black Copper Marans: Good egg layer of dark brown eggs. Marans make
wonderful pets, too - they are hardy, calm and quiet, and bear
confinement well. They are said to be good foragers without being TOO
destructive to your garden.
Lavender Orpington: This rare color Orpingon is a true beauty! Its another good layer of large brown eggs. Best personality of ANY breed... Sweet, personable, talkative.
True Ameraucana: Our Blue Ameraucana is from
quality lines and are true Ameraucanas! No brown eggs here! Expect to
get beautiful medium sized blue eggs from these lovely ladies. (Shades
of blue will vary.)
Blue Easter Egger: We've created a lovely
Blue feathered Easter Egger that will impress you with her large green
eggs! The Easter Egger is a fun bird which quickly becomes the highlight of the flock.
Barnevelder: Our Double-laced Barnevelder is a great egg
layer of medium sized, speckled brown eggs. Their docile nature makes
them a favorite for small flocks.
Rhode Island Red: They're the
do-everything bird: they lay exceptionally well, extremely cold hardy, and hardy in general.
We've combined exhibition quality with hatchery stock to have the best
of both worlds, great looks and a wonderful egg layer of large brown
eggs!
