Most orders placed with My Pet Chicken will leave our warehouse within 1 business day of your purchase date.
Orders placed Saturday and Sunday will be shipped the following business day. If you're
in a rush and need your order to ship immediately, just call 888-460-1529! We love making our customers
happy - there's a good chance we'll be able to help you out.
Note: This policy does NOT include items such as chicken coops, baby chicks or any other items on our website that have
provisos indicating shipping will take longer than normal.
Most orders are shipped via UPS, however if you are mailing to a P.O. Box, we will
mail your package via an equivalent option from the U.S. Postal Service.
Our normal shipping rules don't apply to live chickens and fertile hatching eggs! Those orders all have
to be "booked", which means after you place your order we'll get back to you with the shipping date
and details. Usually this takes 2-5 business days.
When you're purchasing live animals and eggs, our website will force you to chose the "Express Mail"
option when you check out - the fastest, most effective and most humane method possible! Choosing 2nd
Day or Next Business Day shipping will NOT get your chicks, eggs or started pullets to you faster and will NOT
get your chicks any better treatment or handling. We always take the best possible care of our animals; you
don't have to pay extra for it!
If you're purchasing non-live items in addition to your chicks or hatching eggs, the shipping options available
to you will be "Express Mail + Ground", "Express Mail + 3rd Day", etc. Express always applies to the live items; Ground,
3rd day etc. applies to the non=live items.
Ground shipping takes 5-10 business days and is our most economical shipping option. Depending on
the ship-to address and the product being shipped, Ground may include any of the following services:
UPS Ground, Fed Ex Ground, DHL Ground, USPS Priority Mail or USPS First Class Mail. Regardless of
the shipping service used, we guarantee delivery within 10 business days.
Third Day is a great option if you're not sure whether Ground will deliver your package on time. Keep
in mind that third day takes 1 day to process your order and 3 business days to ship, so if you place
your order on Monday for Third Day, it is guaranteed to arrive on Friday (though it may come sooner).
Need your package even faster? Second Day is a great choice. Remember, it still takes one business day
for orders to leave our warehouse. Once they "fly the coop", so to speak, they'll arrive to your door within
2 business days.
Need it yesterday? Next Day service is for you!
