6-Week-Olds: Cream Legbar Blue-Egger
Cream Legbar Hen Cream Legbar eggs are aqua to blue-tinted
Product Features:Currently not available
Description:Don't have the time, equipment or inclination to care for chicks? Or were you ready for fresh eggs yesterday? This is the tickets! At 6-7 weeks old, these started pullets are ready to go outdoors, with no heat or special care requirements.
Another wonderful benefit is that our juveniles are sexed twice, once at hatch and again at 6 weeks, which reduces your chance of ending up with roosters. Our six-week started pullets are floor-raised and socialized with humans, vaccinated for Marek's disease, and their beaks are intact--we never trim.
Cream Legbars are friendly, easily handled, good layers, and one of the most highly sought after breeds in this country. In fact, this is such a wonderful breed, it's one of the ultra-rare varieties Martha Stewart asked us to deliver to her for her own flock in 2016 and 2017. They lay a beautiful, light blueor blue-green egg fix to six times a week in their first year. Legbars are great foragers and do well avoiding predators in a free range environment, although they can easily adapt to small yards and runs, as well. And we love that their unusual little crests are tucked behind floppy combs, making them looking something like they're wearing berets accented with flowers--very cool!
All Started Pullets are shipped USPS Express Mail. We are unable to ship to Minnesota, Hawaii, and US Territories due to importing regulations in those states. These pullets will be vaccinated for Marek's disease and will be 6 weeks old when shipped.
**Please do not immediately turn your started pullets out with an
existing flock. Read why, here.
