Don't have the time, equipment or inclination to care for chicks? Or were you ready for fresh eggs yesterday? This is the ticket. At 20 weeks old, these started pullets are ready to go outdoors and may even lay an egg in the box en route! Yes, at 20 weeks, Leghorn pullets are usually laying their first eggs.
We normally only sell 6-week-olds, but by special circumstance, we were able to offer these 20-weekers to you at a great price!
About the breed: the White Leghorn lays large, white eggs practically every day. Sometimes this breed is said to be flighty, but we've found that our White Leghorns are actually quite sweet and very tame. Offer them a treat each time you visit the coop, and see for yourself just how quickly they'll warm up to you. (In winter, use a protectant on their large comb to prevent frostbite.)
These started pullets are shipped USPS Priority Mail. Price does not include shipping.
**Please do not immediately turn your started pullets out with an
existing flock. Read why, here.
These pullets are all floor raised, never beak trimmed, vaccinated for Marek's disease, and from an NPIP-approved breeder.
