Description:

The Austra White is a tremendous layer, being a cross between a White Leghorn and a Black Australorp. Adults are white with flecks of black, as if ink has been dripped onto their feathers.

The hens are calmer than leghorns have the reputation for. Austra whites are excellent layers of large, cream colored eggs, and they have a docile, even temperament.
