Quality-Made in America
This beautiful chicken coop is handcrafted in Georgia, USA from the highest quality materials, with precision and care. Each chicken coop is made to order! The pressure-treated base and optional runs will keep termites, carpenter ants and rot at bay. The attractive, rot-resistant cedar shingle roof can be swapped for a galvanized steel roof or a corrugated asphalt roof, if that’s more to your liking. Both will stand up for years! The siding is exterior-grade, painted with premium exterior Benjamin Moore satin acrylic latex paint. All hardware is galvanized, as is the 20 gauge, half-inch hardware cloth wire in the windows, air vents and run.
Good ventilation is so important for chickens, who are susceptible to respiratory issues. That's why this coop has both a rear ventilation slot that runs the whole the width of the coop, and two front windows. Both the rear vent and the front windows are protected from rain and snow by removable plexiglass inserts.
Heavy-duty latches on the doors are ready for you to add the locking mechanism of your choice. Half-inch hardware cloth covering all windows, openings, vents and optional runs will prevent predators and large rodents from gaining access. (Mice can still squeeze through half-inch hardware cloth... but they’ll rue the day they decided to check out this coop! Chickens consider mice a delicious snack.)
A Run For Outdoor Playtime
Even if you decide to allow your flock to roam free, there will be times you’ll want to keep them in the safety of the confined run. Runs are just like the above picture--but they’ll be lined in half-inch galvanized, welded "hardware cloth" wire rather than the chicken wire pictured, and the area under the house will not be enclosed. We recommend you purchase a roll of half-inch hardware cloth at home and attach it to the footprint of your run (using zip ties or a heavy-duty stapler), to keep burrowing predators and rodents out, too!
Please keep in mind that this coop, like every coop we sell at My Pet Chicken, is NOT intended for full-time confinement. You will need to provide an outdoor run area in which your hens can spend most of their time--or allow them to free range.
Easy Egg Collection and Cleaning
Just lift the hinged lid on the nesting boxes to easily retrieve the eggs. To clean the coop, simply rake out the bedding and wipe down the linoleum floor. (Nest boxes come with a spring-loaded hook and eye latch, not pictured, to keep sneaky raccoons and other predators out.)
Customize with the Paint Color of your Choice
Standard white, Benjamin Moore satin acrylic latex paint comes standard with your purchase. For $75 more, you can choose any Benjamin Moore color you like! Choose "custom color" from the Paint Options menu above, and indicate the name and number of your preferred color in the "Order Notes" field during checkout.
30 Day Money Back Guarantee!
If you aren’t satisfied with your purchase, you may return your coop within thirty days of receipt for a full refund, less the return shipping costs.
