Amazingly Durable, Fiberglass Construction (Made in the USA!)
Fiberglass is an incredibly durable building material: pound for pound, it's stronger than concrete, steel and aluminum. This chicken coop was created by an American company that has been in business, perfecting the art of fiberglass, for over 50 years. Their fiberglass will never rust, rot, corrode or need painting. It is made of the most durable, high quality, long lasting fiberglass materials available, spray coated with a tinted marine-grade gel that chemically bonds with the fiberglass laminate. See color chart photo above for available color choices.
While we make every effort to ensure the product you purchase meets your expectations, the actual product may differ slightly from images and renderings shown due to enhancements and/or modifications made at the discretion of the manufacturer.
Made for Eggstreme Weather
Worried about eggstreme weather where you live? Our fiberglass coop can withstand temperatures as low as -80* F, and as high as 200* F.
Fiberglass is light weight, so the 5' x 6' coop weighs just 350 pounds, which is a fraction of the weight of its wood-construction rivals. (This also means shipping costs us, and you, less!) If you're worried about wind knocking your coop over, you can purchase an optional anchor kit from the pull-down menu above, which includes an anchor, aircraft cable, cable clamps, and turnbuckle for securing your coop in place.
Though lightweight compared to wood, moving 350 pounds is no simple feat, so you'll see two optional wheel kits in the pull-down menu above. Both include a tow bar, two front caster wheels, two rear fixed wheels, and a handle for easy moving. The standard pneumatic wheel kit has tires filled with air, whereas the solid wheel kit has "no flat" tires.
No-Stick 'Em Finish for Easy Cleaning
Cleaning is an absolute breeze, since the coop can be power washed, or hand washed with soap and water, time and time again. (After you wash your coop, be sure to keep those windows and vents open so it fully airs out! Fiberglass, like wood, will mildew.)
You pick your own lock for this coop. There are latches for each door, and you can decide how you want to secure them: padlock, hitch lock, spring-loaded clip--whatever works for you. Just make sure it's too difficult for raccoons to figure out!
Just lift the nest box lid and reach inside to fill up your egg basket. The lid is lockable to prevent access by critters who would feast on your eggs (and chickens)!
This coop has sliding front acrylic windows and rear ventilation lots, with galvanized hardware cloth screens that keep predators out.
Personalize with Six Color Choices
The color chart photo above shows your six color choices for the body and trim. Mix and match as you see fit! As you can see in the pictures above, there are many options for making your coop look unique!
Run Those Birds!
Keep in mind that this coop, like every coop we sell at My Pet Chicken, is NOT intended for full-time confinement. You will need to provide an outdoor run area in which your hens can spend most of their time--or allow them to free range.
The manufacturer offers a limited one-year warranty for manufacturing defects. Just contact us with any problems or issues within one year of your purchase date.
Assembly is pretty simple--all windows, doors, and hardware will arrive installed, with the metal frame already mounted to the floor for the 18" metal legs. Set aside two hours to complete, and make sure you have a friend! You will need to stand the four walls, screw the self-drilling screws into the floor, place the roof on top and screw it down, and assemble the nesting dividers. Please take the time to become familiar with all of the coop parts before starting the assembly process! See the full assembly instructions.
The following tools are required for assembly: drill or screw driver, #2 screwdriver bit, pliers, heavy-duty scissors or wire cutters, and 3/4 wrench or crescent wrench.
Please allow 4-6 weeks for your coop to arrive. This coop will arrive as one crate that weighs 475 lbs. and measures 1'8"W x 6'5"L x 6'0"H. There will be a lift gate for easy unloading.
Once your coop arrives, please carefully inspect it prior to signing for it. The manufacturer insures each Coop for the full purchase price, but they can't replace any missing or damaged pieces "free of charge" unless it's noted on the Bill of Lading that there is an indication of damage. Even if all you notice is that the wrapping on the pallet is not neat or is frayed, please do make a note of it before signing for the coop, and notify My Pet Chicken right away.
Please note: we do not have a storefront and orders cannot be picked up from our location. We can only ship within the United States. Shipment of chicken coops is limited to the 48 contiguous states and not Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the other U.S. territories.
Damages, Returns & Cancellations
If your coop arrives damaged, please let us know as soon as possible. Photos help us determine which pieces are damaged. Please be aware that superficial scratches and dings may occur in the shipping process. There is a limited one year warranty for manufacturing defects, and we will refund or replace any broken, damaged or missing pieces.
Since all coops are made to order, cancellations involve a 20% restocking fee if your coop has gone to production. If you wish to cancel your order once it has already shipped, you will be responsible for the entire shipping cost in addition to the 20% restocking fee. If you have changed your mind about your coop once you have received it, and your boxes are unopened, you may return it to us for a refund less the entire cost of shipping and a 20% restocking fee. (In this case, you may be better off selling the coop locally.)
