Quality-Made in America

This beautiful chicken coop is handcrafted in Georgia, USA from the highest quality materials, with precision and care. Each chicken coop is made to order! The pressure-treated base and optional runs will keep termites, carpenter ants and rot at bay. The attractive, rot-resistant cedar shingle roof can be swapped for a galvanized steel roof or corrugated asphalt roof, if that’s more to your liking. Both will stand up for years! The siding is exterior-grade, painted with premium exterior Benjamin Moore satin acrylic latex paint. All hardware is galvanized, as is the 20 gauge, half-inch hardware cloth wire in the windows, air vents and run.

Breathe Easy

Good ventilation is so important for chickens, who are susceptible to respiratory issues. That's why this coop has both a rear ventilation slot that runs the whole the width of the coop, and two front windows. Both the rear vent and the front windows are protected from rain by the significant roof overhang, and removable plexiglass inserts protect your flock in inclement weather. (The windows slide in and out from the inside, and lock in place.)

Plug and Play

This coop comes ready for electrical hookup with an exterior-grade outlet. Use it for lighting to encourage winter laying, water heaters, disco balls… whatever you like!

Predator Protection

Heavy-duty latches on the doors are ready for you to add the locking mechanism of your choice. Half-inch hardware cloth covering all windows, openings, vents and optional runs will prevent predators and large rodents from gaining access. (Mice can still squeeze through half-inch hardware cloth... but they’ll rue the day they decided to check out this coop! Chickens consider mice a delicious snack.)

A Run For Outdoor Playtime

Even if you decide to allow your flock to roam free, there will be times you'll want to keep them in the safety of the confined run. Runs are just like the above picture--but they’ll be lined in half-inch galvanized, welded "hardware cloth" wire rather than the chicken wire pictured. We recommend you purchase a roll of half-inch hardware cloth at home and attach it to the footprint of your run (using zip ties or a heavy-duty stapler), to keep burrowing predators and rodents out, too!

Please note that if you choose two runs, you may either have one run on each side of the coop, each with its own access door, or one extra-long run. You can indicate your preference on the "order notes" field during checkout.

Please keep in mind that this chicken coop, just like every coop we sell at My Pet Chicken, is NOT intended for full-time confinement. Chickens need to spend several hours a day in an outdoor run or free-ranging.

Easy Egg Collection and Cleaning

Just lift the hinged lid on the nesting boxes to easily retrieve the eggs. To clean the coop, simply rake out the bedding and wipe down the linoleum floor. (Nest boxes come with a spring-loaded hook and eye latch, not pictured, to keep sneaky raccoons and other predators out.)

Customize with the Paint Color of your Choice

Standard white, Benjamin Moore satin acrylic latex paint comes standard with your purchase. For $75 more, you can choose any Benjamin Moore color you like! Choose "custom color" from the Paint Options menu above, and indicate the name and number of your preferred color in the "Order Notes" field during checkout.

30 Day Money Back Guarantee!

If you aren’t satisfied with your purchase, you may return your coop within thirty days of receipt for a full refund, less the return shipping costs.

Due to the large size of the Wyandotte chicken coop, it is shipped in panels, on two pallets, ready for you to screw together. Pilot holes are pre-drilled, and hardware and assembly instructions are included. Plan on a friend to help you hold the panels while you use an automatic screw gun to secure the panels together. It should take less than two hours to complete.

(While you may prefer a fully-assembled coop, consider how easy yard placement will be! With the help of a friend, it'll be easy to carry the panels to your build site and assemble there.)

Please allow three to six weeks for your coop to arrive. This coop will arrive as one crate that adds roughly one foot to the width and six inches to the height of the coop. There will be a lift gate for easy unloading to your driveway.

Please note: we do not have a storefront and orders cannot be picked up from our location. Also, we can only ship within the United States. Shipment of chicken coops is limited to the 48 contiguous states but not Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the other U.S. territories.
