Amazingly Durable, Fiberglass Construction (Made in the USA!)
Fiberglass is an incredibly durable building material: pound for pound, it’s stronger than concrete, steel and aluminum. This chicken coop was created by an American company that has been in business, perfecting the art of fiberglass, for over 50 years. Their fiberglass will never rust, rot, corrode or need painting. It is made of the most durable, high quality, long lasting fiberglass materials available, spray coated with a tinted marine-grade gel that chemically bonds with the fiberglass laminate. See the color chart photo above for available color choices.
While we make every effort to ensure the product you purchase meets your expectations, the actual product may differ slightly from images and renderings shown due to enhancements and/or modifications made at the discretion of the manufacturer.
Made for Eggstreme Weather
Worried about eggstreme weather where you live? Our fiberglass coop can withstand temperatures as low as -80* F, and as high as 200* F.
Fiberglass is light weight, so the coop weighs just a fraction of its wood-construction rivals. (This also means shipping costs us, and you, less!) If you’re worried about wind knocking your coop over, you can purchase an optional anchor kit from the pull-down menu above, which includes an anchor, aircraft cable, cable clamps, and turnbuckle for securing your coop in place.
No-Stick 'Em Finish for Easy Cleaning
Cleaning is an absolute breeze, since the coop can be power washed, or hand washed with soap and water, time and time again. (After you wash your coop, be sure to keep those windows and vents open so it fully airs out! Fiberglass, like wood, will mildew.)
The Ultimate in Ventilation
This coop has a window above the nesting box with two sliding acrylic windows and a wire screen. There is also an 8” round vent on top that comes standard, and will match the trim color you’ve chosen. This top vent can even be purchased with a solar-powered fan for added effectiveness!
Stand Option: Raise ‘Er Up
If you’d like to get your coop up off the ground, you can choose our optional stand from the pull-down menu above. At 2’ high, it doubles the height of your chicken coop and makes it easier to access your birds. The stand is made of a square, painted metal tubing, with a pad on the bottom to help prevent the coop from sinking into the ground.
Cage Option: Double Their Space!
Add on the “cage” option from the pull-down menu above to effectively double the usable space in this chicken house. Cage orders come with:
- A 2 foot high, wire mesh-wrapped stand under the coop, with a locking door to let the chickens come and go. (Lock will require assembly with screwdriver.)
- The stand is made of a square, painted metal tubing, with a pad on the bottom to help prevent your coop from sinking into the ground.
- Stand is wrapped in 1” x 1”, welded, galvanized steel hardware cloth material
- An access point in the floor with a ramp, which leads to the space below. (Access point does not close.)
Please note that you will have to secure the underside of your cage if you want it to be fully predator-proof. We recommend either securing more hardware cloth (welded wire mesh) to the bottom of the cage, or preparing a brick or stone underlayment in advance of the coop’s arrival.
Tractor Option: Add Wheels!
Though lightweight compared to wood, when you add in the weight of chickens, bedding, and any feed or water you have stored inside, moving your coop is no simple feat, so you’ll see two optional wheel kits in the pull-down menu above. Both include a tow bar, two front caster wheels, two rear fixed wheels, and a handle for easy moving. The standard pneumatic wheel kit has tires filled with air, whereas the solid wheel kit has “no flat” tires.
(The wheel kit option cannot be combined with the cage option.)
Personalize with Six Color Choices
The color chart photo above shows your six color choices for the body and roof. Mix and match as you see fit! As you can see in the pictures above, there are many options for making your coop look unique. (All window and door trim comes in the dark bronze color, as pictured. There is no option to change this color.)
Other Customization Options
In addition to the options mentioned above, you may also choose which material you’d like for your ramp, and which side of the coop (or both) that you’d like the Chicken Glass Door to be on.
This is one of the most secure chicken coops in our line-up to date, with a key provided to access the doors on your coop, so you won’t have to worry about chicken burglars getting at your flock (either the human or animal kind). The same key opens all doors on your chicken house.
Your nest box access door doubles as a window. Just open it and reach right in!
Run Those Birds
Please keep in mind that this coop, like every coop we sell at My Pet Chicken, is NOT intended for full-time confinement, unless you choose the “cage” option and you plan to move your chickens to a new spot several times a week. Otherwise, you will need to provide a much larger outdoor run area in which your hens can spend most of their time, or allow them to free range.
The manufacturer offers a limited one-year warranty for manufacturing defects. Just contact us with any problems or issues within one year of your purchase date.
Assembly is simple-- windows, doors, and hardware will arrive installed. The nesting box frame will need to be screwed into place with a screwdriver. If you’re ordering a stand or cage, those ship inside the coop. You’ll need to remove the roof, lift the stand or cage, and bolt it to the base of the coop. If ordering a cage, the cage handle will need to be installed with a screwdriver. Other than that, your coop will arrive fully assembled.
The following tools are required for assembly: drill or screw driver, adjustable wrench or 3/4” and 9/16” sockets.
Please allow 3-4 weeks for your coop to arrive. This coop will arrive as one crate that weighs 175-215 lbs, depending on options selected, and measures 48” x 78” x 54”, approximately. The delivery truck will have a lift gate for easy unloading, and your truck driver will call you to schedule a delivery time frame that works for you.
Once your coop arrives, please carefully inspect it prior to signing for it. The manufacturer insures each chicken coop for the full purchase price, but they can't replace any missing or damaged pieces "free of charge" unless it's noted on the Bill of Lading that there is an indication of damage. Even if all you notice is that the wrapping on the pallet is not neat or is frayed, please do make a note of it before signing for the coop, and notify My Pet Chicken right away.
Please note: we do not have a storefront and orders cannot be picked up from our location. We can only ship within the United States. Shipment of chicken coops is limited to the 48 contiguous states and not Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the other U.S. territories.
Damages, Returns & Cancellations
If your coop arrives damaged, please let us know as soon as possible. Photos help us determine which pieces are damaged. Please be aware that superficial scratches and dings may occur in the shipping process. There is a limited one year warranty for manufacturing defects, and we will refund or replace any broken, damaged or missing pieces.
Since all coops are made to order, cancellations involve a 15% restocking fee if your coop has gone to production. If you wish to cancel your order once it has already shipped, you will be responsible for the entire shipping cost in addition to the 15% restocking fee. If you have changed your mind about your coop once you have received it, and your boxes are unopened, you may return it to us for a refund less the entire cost of shipping and a 15% restocking fee. (In this case, you may be better off selling the coop locally.)
