CatalanaHugely popular in South America and Spain, Catalanas are excellent in the egg-laying department and valued for their meat as well. With buff-colored bodies, black-tipped tails, large wattles and single combs (which flop over in females), Catalanas are not cold-hardy and thus have not gained popularity in cooler climates. They are excellent foragers that enjoy roosting in trees. They are very rare in North America and can be difficult to find.
