Garden Run Building Plans (Walk-In Module)

Add a secure walk-in run to your coop and beautify your garden! The Garden Run Walk-In module features plenty of perching options, plus a pergola top for vine-type plants so you can create some shade. The Garden Run modular enclosure series lets you create and extend a beautiful, safe outdoor habitat for your backyard flock. Combine the designs to create even more space! Note: This chicken run is not meant to be your chickens' primary shelter. You will still need to attach a coop or hen house.

The Walk-In Design
This design is for a walk-in run that can be connected to just about any coop or even enclose a smaller coop. It features a full-size people door for easy entry. Trellis a vining plant up the side and over the pergola for beauty, aroma, and shade. The module measures about 6'wide x 6'deep x 7-1/2'high with a footprint of 36 feet. Each unit in the Garden Run series is built atop a secure foundation to protect your hens from digging pests and predators.

Tools Needed: Circular saw or miter saw, power drill/driver and a few drill bits, tape measure, level (helpful for larger configurations), pencil, pair of sawhorses, handsaw (helpful for quick cuts), hammer, combination or speed square, a couple clamps with a 3” capacity, wire/metal snips for 19-gauge wire or heavier, sandpaper or a power sander, paintbrush, drop cloth, ladder, pneumatic stapler with compressor (optional, but helpful for larger configurations)
