We want you to be confident when purchasing at My Pet Chicken, so we've created the comprehensive and fair return policy outlined below. Because we sell so many different types of items, our return policy varies by item. Please read below to learn about the return policy for the item(s) you're interested in.


GENERAL RETURNS & CANCELLATIONS
Return policy for items not called out below:

UNDAMAGED ITEMS
If you've changed your mind or are unsatisfied with the items you've purchased, you may return them within 30 days for a full refund, minus our cost to ship the item to you and minus your cost to ship the item back to us. Simply phone us at 888.460.1529 to let us know you're unhappy with the items, and we'll give you instructions to return the items. Once we have the items and deemed them fit for resale, we'll promptly refund you in full.

DAMAGED ITEMS
If any of your items arrived damaged, let us know within two (2) days of receipt by calling 888.460.1529. We will either:
- Refund you in full or in part, depending on the extent of the damagae;
- Replace your product with another of equal or greater value;
- Send you free, replacement parts (especially in the case of a chicken coop damaged in shipment).

Note: we may require photographic proof of damage, or we may require that you return the item to us for inspection, at our cost.

GENERAL CANCELLATIONS
If you've purchased non-live items and changed your mind before anything has shipped, we are happy to cancel your order, and there is a $5 Cancellation Fee. (Non-live items include anything but baby chicks, started pullets or fertile hatching eggs, which have their own unique cancellation policies.)


BABY CHICKS, JUVENILE CHICKENS AND FERTILE HATCHING EGGS
CANCELLATIONS: BABY CHICKS & FERTILE HATCHING EGGS - $10:
Baby chick and fertile hatching egg orders can be canceled if the scheduled shipping date is more than 2 weeks away, and the Cancellation Fee is $10 due to the effort involved in scheduling these orders and finding new homes for the chicks. Refunds will not include any order change fees, as those defray costs incurred in changing your order.

Orders shipping within 2 weeks cannot be canceled. (A local farm or feed supply store should be willing to take the chick or eggs for you, or you may be able to sell them through a venue like Craigslist or Eggbid.com.)

CHANGES - $10:
If you wish to add or remove chicks, or change your baby chick or juvenile chicken ship date, we are happy to do it, and the Change Fee is $10. You must phone in your change at least two weeks prior to your scheduled ship date to qualify, however.

(If you cannot notify us at least two weeks prior to your scheduled ship date, don't panic! Our customers have had a lot of success finding a home for their chick with a sympathetic local farm, feed supply store, or 4-H club. You can also try a post on Craigslist.)

JUVENILE BIRD CANCELLATIONS - $20:
$1/bird with a $20 minimum: Juvenile bird orders can be canceled if the scheduled shipping date is more than two weeks away, and the Cancellation Fee is $1 per bird, with a minimum cancellation fee of $20. Orders scheduled to ship within 2 weeks cannot be canceled.


GUARANTEES
FERTILE HATCHING EGGS:
We guarantee that our fertile hatching eggs will arrive intact and ready for incubation. If any eggs arrive cracked or broken, contact us within 2 business days of receiving them.

IMPORTANT: we cannot guarantee that your eggs will hatch. Even experienced poultry keepers with high-end hatching equipment often have mixed hatching success.

LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE:
We guarantee healthy, live chicks and started pullets. We will offer a refund, replacement, or give credit toward any bird that you properly cared for but died within 48 hours of arrival. However, we must be notified within 48 hours of any losses should they occur. At no time will our guarantee exceed the original purchase price.

SEXING GUARANTEE:
For baby chicks, we also guarantee 90% sexing accuracy; for sexing errors greater than that guarantee, we will refund the difference between the female and male price. Sexing errors can be reported when birds reach 10 weeks of age and no later than 18 weeks after purchase date.

CHICKEN COOP BUILDING PLANS:
All of our Chicken Coop Building Plans, or blueprints, come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the plans, let us know within thirty (30) days of receipt by calling 888.460.1529, and we will promptly refund your purchase in full.

EGLU OR EGLU CUBE COOPS:
If for any reason you're unsatisfied with your purchase of an Eglu or Eglu "Cube"chicken coop, we provide a 30-day money-back guarantee. Just get in touch with us within 30 days of your original purchase date and we'll refund your money in full.
