Designed for up to 4 chickens
With plenty of roosting and nesting space, you can happily house up to four standard-size chickens, or five to six bantams,
depending on their size. This chicken coop, like every one we sell at My Pet Chicken, is NOT intended for full-time
confinement. The run is convenient when you can't let your flock roam freely, but make sure your flock has several hours per day free-ranging
or in a much larger run.
Tack on up to three additional covered runs.
Sure, you let your flock out to roam during the day, but in inclement weather your chickens seek the shelter of their coop. Additional covered
run space provides a more comfortable place to stay until the weather clears up. Each Clubhouse includes the one run pictured, and our add-on runs are the same
size and style, including the tongue-and-groove wood roof, and you can tack on up to three! (Just remember to site your coop and runs on level ground.) Plus, each add-on run, just like the Clubhouse Coop, comes with an included wire mesh floor made from 1/2" hardware cloth. They attach with (included) zip ties to keep rodents and other digging predators out — where they belong.
Versatile! Use as starter coop, hospital, broody house, or for a bantam breeding trio
We love this model for first-timers because it offers inexpensive entree into the hobby. If you're like most of our customers, you'll double or triple your flock within a few years, and you'll end up having to build or buy a larger coop--but you'll love having this one on hand. Whether you use it to isolate an injured or sick bird, to give a broody hen the space to hatch her own babies, to transition new juvenile chicks to life "outdoors" while protecting them from your established flock, or even to isolate a bantam breeding trio or quartet for a short while,
you'll always be glad to have it around!
Designed for happy owners...
Features include: easy nesting box access, conveniently-placed doors, a 2.5" deep, pull-out droppings tray lined in
metal (new feature to allow for more bedding!), and a convenient "chicken door" with a handle that slides open from
the outside to get your flock from the house to the run. The tongue-and-groove roof on both the coop and run is attractive
and will add to the lifespan of your coop. The roof of the Clubhouse opens, and if you do not plan to use this
feature, we recommend you screw the roof closed to help prevent predators from gaining access.
...And happy chickens
Features include: 50" of rounded-edge roosting poles, two nesting boxes (only one is required for every 4-5 hens!), a ramp for entering and exiting the run,
a Plexiglass window for maintaining biorhythms, and a covered run area for protection from the elements.
Plus, a new feature: the run area under the house is 15.75" high! In other models you'll find online, it's only 12" or 14" high, which isn't
large enough to accommodate many types of feeders and drinkers, should you choose to place yours there.
Extra ventilation
This chicken coop is designed for those of you whose flocks need extra ventilation in summer. Dual ventilation slots on the front and back of the
house slide open to 5" x 5" for a nice cross-breeze, and easily close to keep your chickens warmer in the cooler months. The openings are
covered with 1/2" hardware cloth to help keep out predators and pests.
Predator protection
Two latches on every door provide extra protection. Note the dual latches on the slide-out droppings tray, too,
which help keep raccoons from pulling it out and reaching in for your flock's feet. Half-inch galvanized hardware cloth lines the run — and the run floor —
to help keep out most determined predators and rodents.

Protect Your Coop Purchase...
...With a yearly stain or seal. The natural wood material will break down over time. If you do not,
you can realistically expect four to six years' use out of this coop. If you keep it in good shape
by sealing it annually, you'll have it for many years to come.
