There are many different types of chicken feeders to choose from. For example, there are the common and inexpensive basic plastic feeders. They're tried and true, but they aren't fancy!
Then there are the feeders with special features. For example, some feeders can be positioned so they're filled from outside the coop or run. If you have a small coop you can't walk inside of, this saves you the trouble of opening the door, wrestling your feeder out, refilling, and replacing it.
There are DIY feeders, for people who like to build their own! For instance, we've blogged about a DIY no-waste chicken feeder...
... and also about a DIY PVC chicken feeder.
All these different types of chicken feeders do the job. Choosing which chicken feeder to use for your flock is just a matter of your personal preference.
