Garden Run Building Plans (Quarter-Height Module)

Note: This chicken run is not meant to be your chickens' primary shelter. You will still need to attach a coop or hen house.

The Quarter-Height Design
The quarter-height module is a great place to start. It can be connected to just about any coop and hinges open at the top for access and cleaning. Add the optional corrugated roof described in the plans for shelter from the rain, snow and sun. The module measures about 5'wide x 3'deep x 2'high with a footprint of 15 square feet. Build one or more as designed or use the plans to jump start your own creativity! Each unit in the Garden Run series is built atop a secure foundation to protect your flock from digging pests and predators. Note: This chicken run is not meant to be your chickens' primary shelter. You will still need to attach a coop or hen house.

Materials Cost

Tools Needed: Circular saw or miter saw, power drill/driver and a few drill bits, tape measurer, level (helpful for larger configurations), pencil, pair of sawhorses, handsaw (helpful for quick cuts), hammer, combination or speed square, a couple clamps with a 3” capacity, wire/metal snips for 19-gauge wire or heavier, sandpaper or a power sander, paintbrush, drop cloth, and a pneumatic stapler with compressor (optional, but helpful for larger configurations)
