Green Roof Building Plans (up to 4 chickens)

Every set of building plans we sell has something unique to offer, and we love this one because the top is designed to be planted! Make it an herb garden, a vegetable garden, or plant your favorite flowers. The garden-on-top design keeps your flock warmer in the winter, cooler in the summer, and even provides sound insulation in rainstorms. This coop is appropriate for up to four "free range" chickens, perfect for providing eggs for a small family.

These plans are also superb for keeping a low profile, for three reasons:

1. Two sides are made of slatted wood over hardware cloth so nosy neighbors can’t get a clear view of the insides.
2. It doesn’t look like a chicken coop.
3. Consider planting vines like ivy, clematis, wisteria or honeysuckle, and train them down the sides of the coop for even better protection from prying eyes.

These building plans include complete, step-by-step instructions, with photos and diagrams to help you along. They also include a materials list and tools list, of course!
