Our Certified Organic, Soy-Free 19% Protein Duck Grower is a complete nutritional feed of cracked and milled grain that's supplemented with organic alfalfa, kelp, flaxseed, and Poultry Nutribalancer. Similar to our Poultry Grower/Broiler feeds, this formula is enhanced with higher niacin to help prevent growth deformities. This feed is designed for ducklings aged 2-3 weeks until egg-laying age. Probiotics in the feed help improve digestive health to optimize nutrition. Made exclusively with North American Organic Grains.

Angel wing is a condition where the last wing joint twists outward during adolescence, leaving the outer feathers splayed instead of lying flat against the body. It happens when ducks grow too fast without enough niacin to keep pace. This feed has higher niacin than a standard starter, which helps keep that growth balanced during the weeks when your ducks are most at risk.
No, the lower protein is actually the point. At 19% versus 21% in starter, it's dialed back to keep growth at a pace that young joints and wing structures can handle. Too much protein too fast is one of the things that puts ducks at risk for angel wing, so moderating it here is by design. Probiotics, alfalfa, kelp, and flaxseed are all still in there.
Once they start laying, switch to a duck layer feed. Egg production takes a lot of calcium, more than grower feed provides, and your ducks need that calcium to build strong shells every time. MPC carries an Organic Soy-Free Duck Layer Feed that picks up right where this one leaves off.
