Brahma Chicken Coop + Optional Run (15-18 chickens)

Our biggest coop ever the Brahma Chicken Coop is ready for your large flock to call home!!

The Brahma Coop comfortably fits 15 large breed chickens or 18 small breed chickens. Capacity also depends on whether your flock free ranges and how much time they spend in the coop, your girls are only in the hen house to roost and lay, so we recommend looking at the measurements and seeing what works for your setup.

Keep in mind the chickens share nesting boxes and stand side by side on the roosting rods!

• Water Tight: Our chicken coop has flashing above the nesting box roof lids to prevent water from running into the nesting box.
• Easy cleaning: Has a reinforced pull-out tray to catch their waste for easy cleaning
• Quality Construction: Heavy-gauge stainless steel hardware, galvanized wire mesh, hard plastic lined under roof panels for additional moisture barrier, Adjustlock bolt latches, supporting braces between panels, Acrylic sliding window, Fold down and LOCKING window covers!
• Thoughtful engineering: Solid construction, added supports under the nesting box, diagonal wood supports on all panels, panel reinforcement...

• Roosting Bars: New 2-inch roosting bars allow your chicken's foot to spread out and relax on the bar.
• Easy Access: Doors under each nesting box for easy access to the space under the hen house. The Run has a door panel and half door on the end panel. This makes cleaning the run a cinch and helps in letting the girls out for free ranging.

A few additional points to consider:

• Our chicken coop kit for 15+ chickens with a run extension has flashing above the nesting box roof lids to prevent water from running into the nesting box
• Our carabiners and other hardware are heavy-duty stainless steel
• Easy to clean pull out tray to catch their waste and keep things clean
• Our amazing coop has multiple vents providing important airflow in the chicken house
• Each panel has four additional diagonal wooden support pieces
• Run extension/support under each nesting box (without support the nesting boxes sag and quickly fall apart
• Acrylic sliding window rather than wood which can shrink or expand and make it difficult to open the windows/vents
• Hard plastic liner under all roof panels for durability and weatherproofing
• We use strong chicken wire mesh (twice as thick as most other coops) with small holes to keep predators out
• We use heavy-duty hardware (Ajustlock bolt latches!)
• EVERY piece is labeled, and our instructions are thorough and written by us =)
• We sell hen houses and runs separately allowing you to customize and expand your setup
• THICK nest box dividers (twice the thickness of most other coops)
• Well-constructed ladder

You are sure to love the doors under each nesting box for easy access to the space under the hen house. This allows for easy cleaning and for letting the girls in and out. The run has a door panel and on the runs end panel half the panel is a door. This makes cleaning the run a cinch and helps in free ranging.

Final Suggestions:

Since they are made of wood and will be outside 24/7, we STRONGLY recommend that you stain, lacquer or paint your extra large (XL) chicken coop with a run for 15+ chickens. The stain applied is a base coat that is not designed to protect your coop long term from the elements. Often in transit parts can get dinged or scratched etc. You may need to touch up your coop before staining or painting it!

Once set up we recommend anchoring it down, this can be as simple as a stake on each side of the hen house and run area. As much as we have tried to predator proof our coops, you know your area best and you may want to put wire around your coop, or put pavers. You'll always want to double check hardware and latches to make sure everything is tight and secure. Larger predators like bears you will want to look at installing an electric fence around the perimeter.
