The Leghorn Cottage gives your flock 15 inches of clearance underneath the hen house, creating additional sheltered space for your chickens to roam.
Three entrance doors provide convenient access to the run and the area beneath the hen house, making it easier to clean the coop or let your girls out when it's time to free-range.
The hen house also features a sliding door with a metal handle, so you can easily close your chickens inside at night.
While it's designed primarily as a backyard chicken coop for up to 4 chickens, the Leghorn Cottage can also provide housing for appropriately sized ducks, quail, or pheasants.
Its compact footprint makes it an eggcellent choice for new chicken keepers and smaller backyard flocks without sacrificing thoughtful construction and everyday convenience.
The Leghorn Cottage is made from fir wood and arrives with a water-based primer/base coat. Because your coop will be outdoors 24/7, we strongly recommend painting, staining, or lacquering it after assembly and reapplying protection as needed.
The factory-applied coating is not intended to provide long-term protection from the elements. Minor dings or scratches can also occur during shipping, so touch up any affected areas before applying your final exterior finish.
This coop ships free via FedEx Ground and typically arrives within 3–5 days. Depending on the model, your order will arrive in 2–5 boxes. Nearly all orders are delivered directly to your door.
Coops can be returned within 30 days if the boxes are still sealed. If you think you may need to return your coop, please keep all boxes sealed. Once a box has been opened, the coop is no longer eligible for return, as repacking can lead to damage during return shipping.
A 15% restocking fee applies, and you are responsible for return shipping costs.
If anything arrives damaged or missing, please send us photos of the damaged pieces and circle the affected or missing parts on the parts sheet or instructions. We’ll get replacements headed your way as quickly as possible. If several parts are affected or missing, just let us know, and we’ll work with you to find the best solution.
