Give your flock a secure, comfortable home with plenty of room to roost, lay, and enjoy the outdoors. The Orpington Lodge Chicken Coop comfortably houses 4 large-breed chickens or up to 6 small-breed chickens and is designed to make everyday chicken keeping easier.
Built from wood with predator-resistant wire mesh, heavy-duty hardware, excellent ventilation, multiple access doors, and reinforced nesting boxes, the Orpington Lodge is a sturdy, thoughtfully designed backyard chicken coop.
The Orpington Lodge is a sturdy wooden chicken coop packed with practical features:
Hen House: 55" W x 29" L
Clearance Under Hen House: 15"
Total Weight: Approximately 150 lbs.
The hen house includes two 30" roosting bars and one 33" roosting bar.
Want to give your flock secure outdoor space? Runs are optional and available for an additional cost. Choose the size that works best for your chickens and backyard.
Original Run — Approximately 3' Tall
31.5" W x 36.5" H x 85" L
Includes one 30" and one 33" roosting bar. When combined with the hen house, you'll have 5 roosting bars total.
Walk-In Run — Approximately 6' Tall
39.5" W x 71.75" H x 101" L
Includes two 37.5" roosting bars and one 36" roosting bar. It's wider, taller, and longer than the Original Run, giving your flock more space and giving you easier walk-in access.
Brahma Run — Approximately 6' Tall x 6' Wide x 8' Long
74.5" W x 74.75" H x 101" L
Our largest run option provides even more enclosed outdoor space for your chickens to scratch, perch, and explore.
When a run is added, the run panels extend underneath the nesting boxes. This provides extra usable space for your hens while supporting the nesting boxes to help prevent sagging over time. Runs feature strong, small-opening wire mesh to help keep predators out, plus convenient access doors for cleaning and free-ranging.
Because the Orpington Lodge is made from wood, we strongly recommend staining, lacquering, or painting it for long-term protection from the elements. The stain applied to the coop is a base coat only and is not intended for permanent outdoor protection.
Minor dings or scratches can occur during shipping, so we recommend touching up affected areas before applying your final exterior finish.
Coops can be returned within 30 days if the boxes are still sealed. If you think you may need to return your coop, please keep all boxes sealed. Once a box has been opened, the coop is no longer eligible for return, as repacking can lead to damage during return shipping.
A 15% restocking fee applies, and you are responsible for return shipping costs.
If anything arrives damaged or missing, please send us photos of the damaged pieces and circle the affected or missing parts on the parts sheet or instructions. We’ll get replacements headed your way as quickly as possible. If several parts are affected or missing, just let us know, and we’ll work with you to find the best solution.
