The grower feed recommends pairing with turkey grit for optimal digestion, and offered free-choice it lets each bird take what it needs.
Start offering this grit once your birds are around 5-7 weeks old and moving off starter feed. For younger poults in their first few weeks, a finer starter grit is the better fit since it's easier for small gizzards to handle. Once they switch to grower feed, put this turkey grit out free-choice in a separate dish and they'll take what they need.
It's a different size. This grit is coarser, cut specifically for growing turkeys that have larger, more developed gizzards than young chicks. For poults in the starter stage, use a finer starter grit first, then switch to this once they're on grower feed. The right size grit makes a real difference in how efficiently the gizzard can do its job.
