Nestera manufactures The Lodge Chicken Coop, which is made of 100% recycled plastic using a nearly zero waste process. The smooth recycled plastic makes the coop's interior and exterior easy to clean with nothing more than a quick hose down, and it dries in moments.  

The coop is available in small, medium, and large sizes, which are all elevated 8.9" off the ground. Allowing a sheltered area under it to offer your flock protection from sun, rain, and snow.   

The equivalent of 2,000 recycled plastic shampoo bottles makes up the large-size coop, taking a lot of plastic out of circulation. Therefore offering one more way to live a sustainable lifestyle with chickens!

Predator Protection

The manufacturer crafts these "chew resistant" coops from tough 3/8th thick 100% recycled plastic. They design the rear door to be lockable, and they reinforce the front door with a rotating metal slide, making it difficult to open by lifting, unlike a classic vertical sliding door.

Removable Droppings tray (optional)

These durable dropping trays are made of 0.09" thick ABS recycled plastic, making cleaning easy! There are easy-to-handle trays that slide in and out from the coop's large rear door.   

The Small Ground Chicken Coop will need the small tray kit: 1 x square tray.

The Medium Ground Chicken Coop will need a large tray kit: 2 x rectangular trays.

The Large Ground Chicken Coop will need a large tray kit: 3 x rectangular trays.

Most people successfully assemble their Nestera coop in under an hour. You needn't be a DIY expert to put this coop together. 

Do plastic chicken coops get cold in the winter and hot in the summer? 

We have found 100% recycled plastic to be an excellent material for chicken coops used in Nestera's manufacturing process. In the winter, the required ventilation means the temperature inside the coop will be similar to the ambient air temperature outside.

However, chickens tolerate the cold as their feathers provide good insulation. During the warmer summer months, the solid UV-resistant roof reflects the sun's heat well, keeping your chickens cool and comfortable.

Shipping information:

The chicken coop ships free and comes flat-packed in recycled material.

We will send your tracking number by email as soon as it's available, or you can look for it in our website's Track My Order area.

We cannot ship this product to Hawaii or Alaska.

Product returns: 

If your coop has suffered significant damage during shipment, please report the damages to us within 48 hours of arrival if possible. We request that you send pictures of the damage so that we can best determine the following steps to be taken.

We cover 100% of returns for unassembled coops within 30 days of receipt and provide a free return label. Just contact us, and we'll provide return instructions.

This coop is designed and manufactured in the U.K.
