Description:

GroGel is and delicious gelatin that chicks won't be able to resist. It helps provide hydration, vitamins and nutrients, along with beneficial bacteria (probiotics), all to help babies get off to a good start. Simply mix the dry powder into water and allow to gel before offering to your chicks.

And the best part? Each packet provides enough powder for 100 doses, and can be used for turkey, pheasants and quail, too. Mixing instructions are on the packet.

Also consider probiotics for the long-term health of your flock.

Frequently Asked Questions

Just for the first day or two after they arrive. GroGel gives newly shipped chicks a quick boost of hydration, B vitamins, and probiotics right when they need it most, but it's not meant to be an ongoing supplement. Once your chicks are settled, eating, and drinking normally, plain water is all they need.
Yes. MPC staff include GroGel with duckling shipments to help keep birds hydrated during transit. Mix and serve it the same way you would for chicks.
Yes, give it to all of them, not just the ones that look stressed. Shipping takes a toll even on birds that seem fine on arrival, and the hydration and vitamin boost helps everyone get settled. Chicks that are lethargic or not drinking yet need it most urgently, but the whole flock benefits.
